Without proper research and given my slightly unique use case, buying the “Amazon No.1 popular” product didn’t work out.
Don’t worry—you won’t make the same mistake!
My Conclusion: From Anker Soundcore 2 to Tribit XSound Go
Anker Soundcore 2
The Anker Soundcore 2 is very popular on Amazon.
It’s highly praised for sound quality, performance, and price—truly a solid product.
I initially tried using this speaker myself…
it was a mistake.
First of all, to avoid any misunderstanding, this product is extremely popular.
Its sound quality, performance, and price are all excellent—truly a high-quality product with nothing to complain about.
Tribit XSound Go
And I decided to use this speaker “Tribit XSound Go”.
The Tribit XSound Go, on the other hand, is my recommendation.
The problem with the Anker Soundcore 2? Audio delay.
Let’s dive into the details.
Clarify Your Purpose
Before buying, be clear about why you need a speaker.
If you want to enjoy the Silent Guitar not just by yourself but in front of an audience, then external sound output is essential.
For me, the Silent Guitar was all about the ultimate mobile classical guitar experience. While headphones are perfect for solo practice, to perform anywhere, you need a portable speaker.
Portability
The Silent Guitar’s greatest feature is mobility.
Large amps defeat the purpose, so your choice should be portable speakers.
Thanks to today’s technology, there are speakers smaller than a 500ml bottle that deliver clear, stable sound without distortion and can run tens of hours on battery.
However, the sheer variety can be overwhelming.
This guide will save you time and frustration.
Price Range
This section is simple.
- Anker Soundcore 2: ~¥4,000–5,000
- Tribit XSound Go: ~¥4,000
As of August 2024, both products fall within this price range, but future availability and price fluctuations cannot be predicted
Both are equipped with waterproofing, USB-C charging, and AUX (3.5mm) input, which is crucial for Silent Guitar performance.

When choosing a speaker, focus on these three:
- AUX (3.5mm) wired connection
- No distortion at higher volumes
- No audio delay
Audio Delay: The Key Issue
When I first tried the Anker Soundcore 2 via AUX, I noticed a ~0.5 second delay between plucking the string and the sound output.
While the sound quality is great, this delay made live performance impractical. After research, I found that many speakers experience this delay, and finding one with AUX connection and no delay is relatively rare.
Tribit XSound Go solves this issue. For reference, I’ve demonstrated it in a YouTube video at the top of this article.
