Name: Freeman (Jiyūjin – “Free Spirit”)
About: In his 40s / Married with two children / Over 30 years of guitar experience
Self-Introduction
I’ve expanded my guitar journey from acoustic guitar → electric guitar → classical guitar.
I love spending time playing guitar alone,
and I’ve always been captivated by the depth of music and the freedom of expression it allows.
In particular, the concept of “coolness” has been a word that has excited me and stayed close to my heart ever since I was in the second year of middle school.
Musical Learning and Experience
I studied classical guitar at one music university in Japan and another abroad,
deepening my performance skills and musical theory. (Note: I did not graduate)
Since my student days, I have performed in a variety of settings—from small concert halls and jazz cafés to street performances—always embracing a free and flexible style.
Professional Career
For about 20 years, I worked at IT companies in various roles, including temporary, contract, and full-time positions.
As a sales professional, I interacted with many people and gained valuable life experience.
Although there was a period when I stepped away from music,
my love for the guitar has never wavered,
and I am now fully immersed in classical guitar once again.
Current Activities
Focusing mainly on classical guitar,
I create performance and tutorial videos, produce sheet music, and share information for beginner to intermediate guitarists.
My goal is to
“support those who want to enjoy guitar for a long time”
and “provide opportunities for people to fall in love with the guitar.”
Who is Freeman (Jiyūjin)?
Do what you want, when you want, as much as you want.
That’s the kind of “free relationship with music” I aim for.
Through classical guitar,
I hope to bring calm, soothing moments into everyday life.
